Sussex Recovery Alliance event

Nothing about us without us

On the 4th of June 2007 I attended the Sussex Recovery Alliance event at the University of Sussex as official photographer.

The SRA is a response from the Service Users/Survivors in Sussex to the merger in 2006 of the three NHS Trusts in the region to form the Sussex Partnership NHS Trust.

The main members of the SRA are:

Focus on Mental Health (Hastings)
Lewes & Wealden Mind
CAPITAL
Sussex Partnership NHS Trust

The collages were made up by people attending to show what recovery means to each group at the event.

Please note that the event was attended by a selection of people who do and also do NOT use the mental health services, so the inclusion of a photo of any person at the event does not imply anything about their mental health! Just an interest in something that affects 1 in 4 people, something we should ALL be interested in. Also I do know the names of a lot of people that attended, but I have not included any of them, if anybody wants their name on there please ask.
